I am the copyright owner of the image on the MollyCoddle tile she gave away. Molly was informed by the Copyright Agents of Amazon and Yahoo of my ownership and her copyright infringement. Result? She stopped selling them on those two venues. I know you moderate your comments so I don't really expect to see my comment on your blog. I suppose, I'll know why. If in doubt about the image go to my website or my Etsy shop and look. http://subway-sign.com

Hi Chirs,

Thanks so much for your input regarding the tile design issue. It is a hard thing, I suppose, when in the art/crafting biz to always be up on what is and is not eligible for reproduction and I know that Molly must just feel awful about having somehow managed to choose a public sign that was covered under your trademarks/copyrights. At any rate, I'm glad you both seem to have reached a good conclusion to the situation and all is well now.

For those out there who love to craft things, navigating the waters of what is and is not "public use" can be a bit tricky and for the most part, I know there is never any ill-will intended. Thanks so much for being able to work things about to a good end. :)

Best Regards,
Ruth
